Beginners can learn how to
create a basic newsletter
How to create a very basic newsletter to advertise your website. Beginners can learn how to create a basic newsletter and email it to their newsletter subscribers.
Many people who work from home have a website or blog of their own where they advertise what it is what they do from home, or they have a website or blog simply to write and add articles to it, to gain natural Search Engine exposure for the ads on their site, from which they earn some income.
If no advertising of a website is done, it's hardly ever going to be seen. This is not how to make money from your website or blog, or from your work from home products you make and advertise on only your website or blog. That website or blog has to be marketed in order to gain visitors to it. The more it is marketed, the more visitors it gets. The more visitors it gets the more exposure of your products and work from home business information it gets (or more exposure for the ads on your page from which you earn an income.)
Now simply writing and adding many fairly lengthy articles to your site on a regular basis is certainly one way of marketing your site as more written content on it means there are more words on your site giving Search Engines like Google more of a reason to give your site a good search result on their search result pages, but there are other ways to improve the traffic (amounts of visitors) to your site too. I know of over 40 free ways to advertise a website or blog, but for now I'm going to explain how to create a very basic newsletter. A basic newsletter can help you with the advertising of your website or blog.
Isn't a newsletter usually something a web designer or newsletter service provider might provide or create for you? Something quite fancy? Yes, it can be, but it doesn't have to be, especially when you can't create a fancy newsletter yourself, or want to save money. If beginners are keen to send out newsletters to their newsletter subscribers, in order to get some more traffic to their website or blog, they can, using a very basic newsletter. Creating or having fancier ones made for you can come later.
Simply type the newsletter content as a normal email, and provide some links to your website or blog. Send it only to your personal friends, and to your confirmed newsletter subscribers. People do not like to be spammed with emails they don't want and may not appreciate. There are laws about sending emails to people who didn't request them, as well.
If you cannot hyperlink links (website or blog page URLs that link to your website or blog) in your emails, always type them out in full, as this generally still makes them clickable. eg the link to this page would be http://www.workfromhomeideas.co.za/create-basic-newsletter.html It should be appearing in the browser bar at the top of your computer screen now.
Depending on how much news and content is in the rest of your newsletter, you may simply be able to include the links without any further description of them, or maybe display just a bit more information like this: http://workfromhomeideas.co.za/create-basic-newsletter.html How to Create a very Basic Newsletter.
If you do not have too much content in your newsletter, you may want to rather include two or three lines of each article that you are linking to. It provides some more info to your newsletter subscribers as to what they are going to find on the page they click through to, and there is a greater chance, perhaps, that they will click the link and visit your website or blog. You can perhaps use the first two or three lines of an article, two or three lines of content further down in your article, or write a brief summary of the article. This section of content in your newsletter may then look something like this:

If you already subscribe to some newsletters yourself, take note of the different kinds of disclaimers they use, usually found at or near the bottom of their newsletters, and try write a similar disclaimer for your own newsletter. Do NOT copy somebody else's disclaimer word for word. Make your own disclaimer as unique as you can, while still including everything a disclaimer should include.
Also think about what else you could include in your newsletter, like special offers, news and jokes. People who subscribe to newsletters are generally interested in the kind of topics discussed in that newsletter or on the sites that the newsletter links to, but if your newsletter is too plain and boring, you may lose some of your subscribers after a while. You should also not send the newsletter to people too often. Before or when they subscribe your newsletter subscribers should be told how often they might get a newsletter from you, and should also be given the option to unsubscribe at any time they wish to. The unsubscribe option does not necessarily have to be more involved than simply telling your newsletter subscribers that they reply to the newsletter email with the words "unsubscribe" and that you will remove them from your mailing list. If you get newsletter subscribers unsubscribing to your newsletter, remove them from your mailing list right away, before you forget.

See what the contents of a newsletter could include by viewing the content of some of our own previous newsletters that we've also posted to our blog on this site, or subscribe to our newsletter to receive it via email and see it properly. These newsletters are not too basic as they include web design html coding and more, but you can still get a good idea of what kind of content to put in your own newsletters.
Why not subscribe to our newsletter? It's simply called TnT's Work From Home Ideas Newsletter and is not sent more than 4 times in 4 weeks.
