Learn how to get newsletter subscribers
Ways to get newsletter subcribers
There are quite a few ways to get newsletter subscibers, and, to be honest, I'm using one way to get newsletter subscribers right now!
Writing quite a few articles to publish on your website or blog helps Search Engines notice your website or blog more easily, giving links to the pages of your site perhaps a better search result than sites that have less content. I have quite a few articles on this site as well as on this site's blog, and I also add more articles whenever I get the chance to. There is a link for people to subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of this article.
Other ways to get newsletter subscribers:
Display a link on every page of your website or blog where visitors to the site can click a link to subscribe, or they can email you, at the very least.
Send your first newsletter to a few of your friends, and ask them if they mind if you add them to your subscriber mailing list so that you can send them more newsletters in the future.
Offer some kind of reward or gift for subscribing. Display the details of this close to your subscribe button on your site (or where you ask people to email you to subscribe to your newsletter.) The reward could be as simple as a free recipe, or some tips or anything else related to what your site and business are about. The reward could also be a competition where all new subscribers within a certain time period are entered into a competiton where the winner receives free exposure for his or her business or website in your next newsletter. At the very least perhaps provide a link to a page that details the benefits of subscribing to the newsletter, for eg being kept updated on latest useful articles on your site, that the potential subscriber may miss out on reading if they don't subscribe.
Include a very brief description of the newsletter at the bottom of all your usual outgoing emails (and details of how to subscribe if you don't have a link to provide.)
Ask your friends and new subscribers to forward the newsletters that they receive on to their own friends. From time to time perhaps offer some sort of competition or prize for those that forward the newsletter. In each newsletter include wording to the effect of "If a friend forwarded you this newsletter, you may want to subscribe to it yourself." (and provide a link for them to do so, or tell them how to.)
Use your Facebook or other social site profile to mention your newsletter, and the benefits of subscribing.
