It's fun to earn money online in South Africa in my spare time. And anyone in South Africa or anywhere else in the world can also earn money online if they have a bit of spare time, a computer, and an Internet connection - yeah, that's all it needs to cost, so if you already have a computer and Internet connection, earning money online can cost you only your time! PLUS, even then, (after spending some time on making money online) many of the ways you earn money online is via passive income, so that means when you feel you've done enough work and are happy with the monthly income you're making online, you can stop working at it, and still earn that amount (or at least similar) every month after you stop working at it! My January 2011 online earnings: Well, for starters, it was my best Google Adsense earnings month yet, with R847.98 of my total January 2011 online earnings coming from Google Adsense alone. My November 2010 Google Adsense earnings were my previous best, with a slight drop for my December 2010 Google Adsense earnings, so I'm glad to see my monthly Adsense earnings are back on their way up. To you South Africans struggling to find work or to earn some extra income: Please do not ask me in a few years' time how is it that I'm making perhaps R10 000. or more per month by then, in passive income earnings from my online activities. Start doing something about earning money online now! The money and increase in earnings does not come overnight. Plus, the more time you can put into it (I keep looking for that spare time, but you may already have it), the more you can earn. Start putting in some effort now, rather than when you're really desperate and still have to wait for the earnings to grow! Okay, so where did my January 2011 Google Adsense earnings come from? Most of it came from my own sites, but some came from online writing sites I belong to (free to join, where Google Adsense revenue is shared with you.) Triond R6.38 HubPages R6.15 Bukisa R4.79 Xomba R3.15 The balance of my R847.98 January 2011 Adsense earnings all came from my own sites and blogs. I'm also pleased with already having earned R25.13 in Adsense earnings from one of my new totally free Blogger blogspot blogs, when the blog is still less than a month old, and currently (1 Feb 2011) has just 14 articles on it. I did put in a bit of effort, though, of linking to this free Make Money Use Internet blogspot blog of mine quite a bit from other sites, so I think that may have helped. It's still nice though that these earnings happened so quickly, when I'm so far not earning much from my other much older blogspot blogs. I guess I should just put in some more effort with those blogs too; link to them more from other sites, add more content more frequently, etc. This site, that you're on right now, earned me R335.20 in January 2011, of my total R847.98 Adsense earnings for January 2011, via Adsense. If adding the rest of my January 2011 passive income online earnings to my January 2011 R847.98 Google Adsense passive income earnings, my passive income online earnings total for January 2011 is R890.73 That R42.75 difference is from passive income Ad revenue share I earned on some writing sites: is R0.78 from Triond; R12.30 from Factoidz; R29.67 from Helium Then activity earnings on Factoidz for January 2011 were R8.29 No article sales on Constant Content during January 2011 (was R120.66 last month), and not much happening for me on She Told Me, RedGage, Best-Reviewer, Amazon, or Offerforge in January 2011, so, my grand total of online earnings for January 2011 is R899.02 These online earnings that I report on from time to time are so far just my spare-time-fun-thing; I could actually call most of my monthly earnings online-sort-of-work as it involves doing freelance work for International clients through an online freelance job site, oDesk, or locally for clients who hire us, writing articles for people to publish on their sites, hosting free-theme WordPress blogs, designing websites, and doing on-page search engine optimization. Oh yes. It may seem like I make next to nothing on the online writing sites I belong to, compared to what I make from my own sites, so perhaps you're wondering why I bother with online writing sites. Well, for starters, I have very few articles, so far, on online writing sites, while I have quite a few on my own sites. My earnings from online writing sites are likely to increase as I get the time to add more and more articles to these sites. Also, I bother because often the articles I put on online writing sites are just the same ones I have here or on my other sites - if the writing sites allow previously published articles. Sometimes I'll add an article to an online writing site first, then a few days later, or a month later, for the Factoidz writing site, I'll add the same article to this site or one of my others. In other words if I can get just one article to work for me (make me money) in more than just one way/place, why not? Even if my earnings from online writing sites are so far small, it's still more than having that article on just one site. And it's not like I have to write a whole article each time - I just copy and paste the first one I did, and republish it elsewhere.
