You have a home business idea. Now what?
How about a site like one of these 20 below? We set you up, send you your log in details, and
you load content (write it or copy and paste what you have already written) and you load images yourself. Your
own .co.za site for just R420 per year!

Sure, you can get a stand at the local Sunday flea market and sell your products or promote your products and
services there.
You can also pay for and have brochures printed and distributed. You can place adverts in the
local papers and in magazines.
You can also use a variety of free or virtually free ways to advertise your
products or services, but phew, it's quite a bit of work advertising your home business - when do you get the
chance to work on the services you offer or make or purchase the products you sell, and do everything else
concerned with running your home business?
You can also use free online classifieds sites to advertise your home business for free, but what happens when
people want to know more about your products or services, more information than you can fit into a free or cheap
advert, or a more expensive printed brochure? The more information you can give a potential client or customer
about your home business, the more sales you may make, or the more you'll be hired for your freelance services.
How can you let people see more information about your home business for free or for not much of
a cost to you?????
A WEBSITE OR BLOGSITE IS THE ANSWER.
You can still use some of the other methods of advertising, and should certainly use a
few other methods of advertising, at least,
but now instead of having people not be able to make it to the flea market on Sunday to see your products, or
stay too far away from you to visit, or you don't want them to visit because you stay in a busy apartment
building that does not seem a suitable place for a business, or perhaps you're even still staying at your
parents, or sharing a house with a few other people, people can now just visit your website or blogsite and
see the information, products or services there.
Having a site of your own where people can browse through the information, products or services also
means that the ones who contact you via email or telephone are probably more serious about buying your
product or using your service than many others who are just browsing and contact you merely to find out more
because your smaller (than a website) advert does not give them all the information they need or want. Maybe they
don't even bother to contact you because they have found a professional looking website with the information they
want and they contact that person instead!
Instead of delaying work because you're so busy telling people the same information over and over again, you
can display all that information on your site. Direct adverts, and people who contact you, to your site.
You can get a completely free site where you don't pay a thing, not even for hosting and domain registration,
(only costs are having a computer and Internet connection, and some effort at putting content on the site) like a
Blogger blog - I have a few of those - but everyone who has a free Blogger blog has their site address ending
in blogspot.com like
teresaschultz.blogspot.com and
tonyflanigan.blogspot.com - It can be useful to have totally free
sites, but not very professional should your home business take off. Free Blogger blogs can be useful to advertise
your more professional site, that has its own unique domain name (website address.)
I suggest you get your very own site, through Tony and I, where the smallest package of just R420 per year will
be suitable for a start, if not forever.
For the R420 per year you get:
1) .co.za domain registration;
2) site hosting;
3) Free WordPress site you can upload your own content to (don't need to know how to design websites
with html/css coding.);
4) enough space in the hosting package to add about 30 or so pages of content if you don't add too many images;
5) unlimited bandwidth in the hosting package (any amount of people can visit your site each month);
6) we upload the site to the host server and send you your log in details;
7) we choose a theme (how the site looks) for you and you can change it later if you wish, yourself, choosing
from over 1 000 free themes; (generally, the one we choose to load on your behalf is the Twenty Ten theme.)
However, if you give us the link to the free WordPress theme you really want as your first theme
(you can change it later if you want to) then we'll upload that one for you at the time of setting you up
with your site.

have a professional site.
